माता भूमिः पुत्रो अहं पृथिव्याः||
(Atharva Veda 12.1.12)
हे पृथ्वी! तुम हमारी माता हो एवं हम तुम्हारे पुत्र (सन्तान) हैं|
O Earth! You are our mother and we are your offspring.
मधु॒ वाता॑ ऋताय॒ते मधु॑ क्षरन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः । माध्वी॑र्नः स॒न्त्वोष॑धीः ॥
मधु॒ नक्त॑मु॒तोषसो॒ मधु॑म॒त्पार्थि॑वं॒ रज॑: ।

Environment provides bliss to people leading their life
perfectly. Rivers bliss us with sacred water and provide us
health, night, morning, vegetation. Sun bliss us with peaceful life. Our cows provide us milk. Mother Earth is undergoing crisis due to the activities of human beings. We should do our part in serving her and expressing our gratitude to her.
World Environment Day was observed at Veda Gurukulam, Karalmanna on 5th June with the noble activity of tree planting. Acharya, Teachers and Brahmacharis have actively participated in planting saplings within the Gurukulam campus, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.The programme helped to create awareness about protecting nature and inspired students to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment.
